How does it work?

Easy. First join for FREE and create an account, then register your company and job position. Every company on Rhobi is given a public company wall where they can post deals, jobs, company news, blog posts, etc, and other users can comment. Users can also see your posts and start live chat conversations with you. Once registered, your company wall will be joined to a community that is appropriate for your industry and sub-industry. The wall looks and works like the news feed of a social network, with the newest stuff at the top. Unlike social networks, however, each post is categorized by what type it is. For example, users can select to only see Deals or to only see News, if that's what they want.

Where's my wall?

There are two ways to access your company wall. From rhobi.com you can log in and click the Community tab. The preferred method, though, is to copy/paste our code to your company's website (in a community page, or whatever you want to call it, such as Deals, Forum, Marketplace, Specials, etc). Creating a dedicated page on your website allows your visitors to view your posts and chat with your sales team live! By enhancing your website with Rhobi functionality, you give your visitors a better shopping experience. This helps them remember your brand name, and it increases the chance that they will return again and again.

Social Network Connects Websites, Not Just People

The unique way that Rhobi distributes content to all connected websites is the heart of its marketing power. We are a social network that connects websites, not just people.

Anything you post to your company wall can be read and searched from any website that is running the Rhobi community. The idea is that we take your content and repost it on thousands of websites. This maximizes your marketing exposure and allows customers to find you no matter where they are.

Zero-install instant messaging

The instant messaging is realtime live chat. It is completely web based and built into the community, which means you don't have to download or install any software on your computer to use it. Any member can IM any other member from their wall post or from their user profile.

Electronic documents during chat

During chat conversations, you can easily send file attachments and URL's. This greatly reduces the need for faxing and emailing. All documents sent are stored privately on Rhobi's servers, and they can only be accessed by the two parties involved in the chat conversation.

Click-2-call toll free phone calls

Optionally, you can enable toll free calls for your company. At no cost to your customers, they can reach you by phone with the click of a button. When they click Call, the system will ask them their phone number. After they enter it, their phone will ring, and when they pick up, it will be calling you.

Customers may call your company's phone number or any individual that works for your company. Each person can control what their phone number is, and they can even use their cell or home phone. All personal numbers are kept private. For example, if I were to call John, all I do is click the Call button and put in my phone number. I never see John's number, and the system knows John's current number so it can reach out to him wherever he might be.

The live business accelerator

One thing we do differently is to help promote the "liveness" of business communications. Deal postings out to your wall (not so live) are commented on by users (somewhat live), which result in IM conversations (more live) to negotiate a deal, which can end in a phone call (most live) via our click-2-call service.

Industry specific communities

As mentioned above, company walls are part of communities that are organized by industry and sub-industry. Deals, news, and jobs posted to your company wall can be reposted to the main industry community, so that it can be shared with a larger audience. This is called "sharing it up".

Social network integration

Your company wall can be the hub of your social media marketing. Post your deals on your wall so they can be reposted to all the websites that make up the community. At the same time, use the social media Share button to share your wall post with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. When people click on your hyperlink they will be taken to your company wall where they can interact with your post by leaving comments or by starting a live chat conversation with you. They can also view your entire wall and see your other promotions.

Shiny new Contact Us page

If you want further integration, it's easy to add Live Chat buttons on your Contact Us page. Or, you can completely replace your old boring Contact Us page with a sleek Web 2.0 popup shadowbox that contains an interactive company directory with personal profiles, complete with Chat and Click-2-Call buttons.
